RACENATION WORLD CUP
How the RaceNation World Cup works
RaceNation is a simulated marble-racing World Cup for 195 country racers. Visitors join the same official race timeline. Each new World Cup begins at the full hour; arriving later joins the races already in progress.
From 195 countries to one champion
| Stage | Countries | Heats | Who advances |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening round | 195 | 25 | First 2 in each heat: 50 countries |
| Second round | 50 | 10 | First 2 in each heat: 20 countries |
| Quarterfinals | 20 | 4 | First 2 in each heat: 8 countries |
| Semifinals | 8 | 2 | First 2 in each heat: 4 countries |
| World Cup final | 4 | 1 | First finisher becomes champion |
The opening round uses twenty eight-country heats and five seven-country heats. The complete competition contains 42 races. Eliminated countries return for the next World Cup. The next stage's draw becomes available after the current stage is settled.
Boost a racing nation
During a race, click a racing marble or its country button to send a boost. Your viewer session can use one boost per heat. Queued, active and used boosts have different states on screen. Finished racers cannot receive another boost. When the live connection is lost, boosting pauses while the site reconnects to the official race.
Results, standings and medals
Completed official races appear in race history. The archive records finish order, race time and countries that advance. A DNF means the country did not finish; it cannot qualify from that heat.
Average score: first place earns 100, last place earns 0, and the positions between them are evenly spaced for the field size. A DNF earns 0. The average includes every recorded appearance; race counts show the sample size. Final medals rank by gold, then silver, then bronze.
Final medals are separate from heat wins: gold for first, silver for second and bronze for third in a completed final. Visit the country standings and medal table.
